Vivo will reportedly announce its first 5G phone this quarter, and the phone will most likely be announced under its sub-brand iQOO. A fresh leak has just surfaced online and revealed the official name of the handset. The leak also gives us some details regarding the phone’s specs and price.

The new leak is a promo material, and it shows the smartphone’s front along with several key specs and its recommended price. The phone will be launched under the name iQOO Plus 5G, and it will come with the latest Qualcomm chipset, the Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC. The processor will be coupled with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage.
Fueling the device will be a beefy 4,500 mAh battery just like the recently-launched iQOO Neo, and it can be charged with 44W fast charging solution. The high battery capacity is needed since the handset supports 5G network, which might consume more power. Moreover, it can also be filled up much faster with the 44W fast charging solution.

As for the price, it might be retailed at CNY 4,498 (around Rs. 45,000), which is more expensive than the top-end variant of the Vivo iQOO with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage (currently retailed at CNY 4,298 (around Rs. 43,000). However, it is still offered a lower price compared to Huawei’s 5G smartphone, the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G, which is priced at CNY 6,199 (around Rs. 62,000).
In terms of design, the upcoming iQOO Plus 5G will still sport a dewdrop-notch display as well as a dedicated AI button and red-coated power button located on the left side. We can only see the front design of the phone, so we can’t get any details of its camera configuration and other specs. However, with these price tags, I would say that the brand will likely equip the phone with an on-screen fingerprint reader.
As mentioned, the handset will reportedly be unveiled this quarter, and there is a good chance its launch will take place in early August.
