The 50X zoom capability of Huawei P30 Pro turns out to be worse than what has been shown on the viral video. Was it a fake Huawei P30 Pro?

As the first smartphone equipped with 5x optical zoom and can be pulled up to a maximum of 50x zoom, the Huawei P30 Pro has been the center of attention on the Internet. Was it a real or just fake Huawei P30 Pro?
Although the purpose of Huawei when offering this zoom feature is to cater to many different needs, there are still some controversies raised from this feature as well.
Huawei zoom video
Recently a viral video suggesting Huawei zoom test with 7.5 million views surfacing online and showing the 50X zoom capability of the Huawei P30 Pro. In the video, the Huawei flagship could zoom with incredible details from a tall building to the ground floor. This leaves people confused as to whether or not their private lives would be compromised by future devices.
However, from my own experience, I have found that this is not a worrisome problem because I don’t think that the phone can capture such details after 50X zoom. Of course, it can't be Huawei P30 Lite 50x zoom, so whether it was a fake P30 Pro?
To further back up my opinion, a Vietnamese news website Genk just demonstrated a Huawei P30 pro video zoom test.
In their first video, you can clearly see that the distance was not that far away compared to the first video. However, even with Xiaomi 50X zoom, we still can’t see the words on the hat which is quite disappointing and much worse than what we have seen on the above video.
It can be seen that the 50x zoom is feasible, but to see the details, it’s quite difficult because the camera was shaking quite hard, not to mention the high noise despite favorable lighting conditions. So how could the video be done? Could it be fake?
It must be! Before the time of the Huawei P30 Pro, there were already many products with superzoom capabilities. However, they are not smartphones but superzoom cameras with a larger sensor and much better lens quality.

Regarding the concern that the P30 Pro may compromise your privacy, this phone is just a tiny problem when compared to hundreds of cameras that have nearly twice as much zoom capability already. If anyone has a bad intention, they have much cheaper and better options to choose.
For example, the Huawei P30 Pro is priced at Rs. 71,990 while a four-year-old Nikon Coolpix P900 camera has optical zoom capability up to 83x for a price of only around Rs. 28,000.

I guess the phone used on the first video could be a smartphone that is sent from the future? In the present, if anyone says the device used in the video is a Huawei P30 Pro, I firmly believe that it’s a fake P30 zoom test.
Once again, the Huawei P30 Pro still can't get the level of detail you would expect from its 50X zoom capability.
