iOS 13 is probably one of the most buggy iOS versions ever, as Apple has to constantly release updates to fix a series of software bugs in a short amount of time. Recently, the iOS 13.1.3 version released by Apple on October 15 is reported to cause many iPhone 11 models to have serious hardware errors.
Specifically, immediately after updating to iOS 13.1.3 on the iPhone 11 trio, many users said they received a warning that the update process for the Apple U1 chip encountered an issue and the device would not be able to use it until the update is finished. Particularly in some cases, the iPhone cannot be repaired and requires users to bring it to the Apple Store to get a new device.
Apple also had to create a user support page and make recommendations for those who are having trouble with the Apple U1 chip. However, even after following Apple's instructions, updating the latest version of iOS (iOS 13.1.3 and iOS 13.2 Beta) using a computer, the situation has yet been resolved.
Some iPhone 11 users said they brought the device to the Apple Store and were told by the staff that this was a hardware error and would surely get a new replacement
Previously, there were people who said that they encountered the same situation on older versions of iOS 13, showing that the new versions of iOS 13 update not only do not fix the remaining errors but even make them more serious, directly affecting the hardware.
For those of you who don't know, the Apple U1 chip is a brand new chip that is only integrated into the trio of iPhone 11. This chip uses ultra-wideband technology to determine the exact location of the user (up to several centimeters) in a small area, for the purpose of sharing data via AirDrop. In the future, the Apple U1 chip will also be used for other purposes such as detecting the location of Apple Tag.
With iOS 13.1.3 affecting the U1 chip, data sharing via AirDrop will not work. If your iPhone is experiencing the same situation, take it to an authorized Apple service center for warranty as soon as possible.
