ZTE has released its new ZTE Axon S and Axon V’s concepts, and the photos show these two handsets set up the cameras in the new positions.
ZTE summited the photos to the IF Design Guide Awards for the Design Excellence title, which show the Axon S, Axon V as well as various other ZTE smartphones such as the Blade 9 and the Axon M and the strange camera locations in detail.

The ZTE Axon S which is set to launch by the end of this year has a side slider, instead of sliding upwards like other previous smartphones. Additionally, the device will feature a triple camera setup comprising of a 48MP sensor with 5x hybrid optical zoom support, according to the concepts.
Also, the smartphone will feature a screen-to-body ratio of 95 percent, with 3D camera and a panel that house an in-display fingerprint scanner. The 3D camera is likely to be integrated under the screen, which is identical to what the South Korean giant, Samsung has been working on the Galaxy smartphone in the future.

About the ZTE Axon V, as different from the Axon S, it is not a siding device and features an intriguing design. It looks similar to a basic Android smartphone, but the dual front-facing cameras placed in a small wing-shaped appendage which sticks out from the device’s top-right, bringing an asymmetrical outline.
In addition to its strange design, the ZTE Axon V comes with another unique feature that it has an aspect ratio of 21:9, a display format in the Sony Xperia 10/10 Plus. Furthermore, the handset sports a 6.8-inch OLED display, which is larger than that of the Xperia 10 series smartphones. In addition, it also has a 3D selfie camera like the ZTE Axon S.

Because these concepts were spotted by ZTE, not coming from any leaks, they seem to reflect the official smartphones, offering a first true look at these two handsets. These devices are scheduled to be unveiled sometime this year.
