Oppo’s new sub-brand Reno announced its first smartphone series last month. The brand unveiled two new smartphones in the Oppo Reno series, dubbed Oppo Reno & Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition. After that, the Chinese company is said to be working on a couple of new handsets under the Reno brand in the next few months. Two Reno handsets were just spotted on TENAA website previously, and two more Reno phones have passed Bluetooth SIG certification which is also said to be launched under Reno brand as well.
Two new Oppo handsets with model number CPH1979 and CPH1983 were certified by Bluetooth SIG. The certifications of the two revealed pretty much every specification of the forthcoming devices. Starting with the CPH1979, it seems to be a new offering in the high-end segment. The phone comes with a 6.41-inch AMOLED panel with HD resolution and Oppo’s ColorOS 6.0. It is listed to be powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core MTK Helio P90 SoC, paired with a large 4,035 mAh battery. At the back, it will come with a 48MP primary shooter and a secondary 5MP camera. Up front, there is a 32MP selfie handling selfie duties.
Moving to the Oppo CPH1983, the handset sports a 6.4-inch HD panel and a 2.2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 710 SoC under the hood. In terms of camera, it features a 16MP main camera on the rear and a secondary 2MP shooter. On the front, it has a 25MP camera for taking selfies and video calling. Lastly, it is also listed to support dual-band Wi-Fi and run Oppo’s ColorOS 6.0 which is based on the latest Android 9 Pie.
Sadly, the listings don’t reveal the exact identity of these two Oppo handsets. However, because they have already been passed TENAA and Bluetooth SIG, we believe that their launches are not far away. We will keep you updated, so stay tuned.
