These New Pixel 3 Features will be soon availble on the Pixel 2

When announcing the two new phones: the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL, Google also revealed some information about the new features that are based on software. Assuming these features would work well with the older generation of Pixel phones, what is more interesting?

Well, they may be right on certain aspects. However, Google actually hasn’t had any plan on updating the previous models to bring the same features with the new versions. The company, instead, intends to make the Pixel and Pixel 2 more useful by adding some new features to them.

Below are some of the new features that probably appear on the old Pixel Phones:

Call Screen

That the Pixel 3 is able to answer calls and screen them is what makes people search for it. Other Pixel devices will own Call Screen as a feature after the software update this November.

Camera

This phone line of Google is famous for its camera as well as the use of AI to help to enhance the photo quality without requiring users to handle much. Some new camera features in Pixel 3 will be also installed in the first-generation Pixel and Pixel 2.

Top Shot

A thinner version of this camera feature will be available in former Pixel devices this October. Because the Pixel 3 meets the hardware requirements, its users can experience fully this feature. Meanwhile, those who use the former Pixel phones will install a software to enjoy it.

Night Sight

Available on all Pixel phones this November.

Playground

Around the end of this year, the feature will come to the Pixel 2. Playground is the AR sticker feature.

Adjust the blur in the background

The feature has arrived to the Pixel 2.

Now Playing History

Both the Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 are equipped with a feature playing music as well as showing the song title and the artists when the screen is locked. The device will then display the information you need on the lock screen.  However, if using the Pixel 2, you can’t get access to the history log.

Meanwhile, you can access the created list of songs on the Pixel 3. But don’t worry, Pixel 2 phones will soon have that feature in a future update.
