Sony Xperia 1 is the first smartphone in the world to sport an OLED Cinema Wide 4K HDR display measuring 6.5 inches with a 21: 9 aspect ratio. With this display, how long can the Xperia 1 with 3.330 mAh battery capacity can last?
PhoneArena ran a custom web script to calculate how long the actual battery capacity of the Xperia 1 is, with the screen brightness set to 200 nits. As a result, the Xperia 1 could operate for 7 hours and 10 minutes.
On the other hand, if the phone is in multi-tasking mode, including playing games, watching videos on YouTube app, listening to music online, sharing data, to name a few, the Xperia 1 has an onscreen time of about 6 hours 5 minutes before the battery drops to 2%.
Interestingly, the Xperia 1 comes with a fast charger at launch and takes less than 2 hours to fully charge the battery from 0 to 100%. Despite not as fast as the OnePlus 7 Pro (which takes only 1 hour and 17 minutes for a full charge), it is still much faster than its predecessor models.
To recall, the Xperia 1 features a Snapdragon 855 octa-core chipset, paired with 6GB RAM. The phone measures 167mm x 72mm x 8.2mm. In addition, it is available in Purple, Grey, Black, and White colours. Besides, the device runs Android Pie at launch. It is backed with a 3,300mAh cell with wireless charging technology.
In terms of imaging capabilities, the device comes with a triple rear camera setup including a 12MP f/1.6 sensor, a 12MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.4, and a 12MP f/2.4 sensor. This camera module has the autofocus mode. On the front, the handset has an 8MP f/2.0 sensor for taking selfies and video recording. Connectivity options include Nano-SIM, NFC, Bluetooth v5.0, USB-C port, 3G, 4G, and Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. Additionally, the device also has an IP68 dust and water resistant rating. Currently, the Xperia 1 costs US$1,043 (roughly Rs. 73,990).
