Samsung introduced the Galaxy A70 a few months ago. Now, this South Korean giant plans to unveil the successor to the A70, dubbed the Galaxy A70S, which is said to be the first smartphone to have a 64MP camera sensor in the world.
According to the reports, the Galaxy A70S is expected to be unveiled in Q2 2019 with ISOCELL Bright GW1 camera sensor with a 64MP resolution of Samsung. The ISOCELL Bright GW1 also comes with Tetracell tech (Quad Bayer) which combines 4 pixels to one to have better detail, deliver higher dynamic range and reduce noise in the low-light conditions.
It seems logical since this is similar to the new strategy of Samsung that is applying new technologies in the mid-range segment before using them on its premium devices. Accordingly, the Galaxy Note 10 could come with this sensor as well.
To recall, the Galaxy A70 features a triple rear camera setup including a 32MP sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, it comes with a 32MP camera for taking selfies and video calling. In addition, the phone sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with 1,080 x 2,340-pixel resolution and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Currently, the phone is available in three color options in India including Black, White, and Blue as well as two memory variants, 6GB RAM+ 64GB ROM and 8GB RAM+ 128GB ROM.
Additionally, the handset is powered by a 4,500mAh cell with the 25W fast charging technology. It also features an on-screen fingerprint sensor and USB-C port. The phone runs OneUI based on Android 9.0 Pie at launch. The Samsung Galaxy A70 currently has the starting price tag of Rs. 28,300. Other connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
