Apple has just launched four new iPhones to give customers more options when buying its smartphones. In response, Samsung may launch the next Galaxy S-series models in January 2021. The upcoming lineup could be called Galaxy S21 or Galaxy S30.
OnLeaks revealed the first look at the standard and Ultra version of the next Galaxy S smartphones. As you can see in the renders, the so-called Galaxy S21 sports a 6.2-inch display, featuring a punch-hole front-facing camera.
There may be three rear cameras but further details about the sensor aren’t available.
Besides, OnLeaks also released renders of the top-tier Galaxy S21 Ultra that features a 6.9-inch display. This model seems to have the same hole-punch front-facing camera as the standard Galaxy S21.
However, the Ultra model may come with a quad-camera module on the rear instead of three. But it’s unclear if the handset will support the S-pen stylus.
Both AndroidCentral and OnLeaks are reporting that the upcoming Samsung flagships will be launched in January, which is far earlier than the Galaxy S20 lineup. Samsung’s new launches often take place in February or March. The Korean giant might want to catch up with the iPhone maker with an earlier flagship launch.
The iPhone 12 lineup consists of four devices including the standard iPhone 12, the higher-end iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max, and the more affordable iPhone 12 Mini. Apple is expanding the iPhone variation to approach more consumers as its previous customers were pretty much limited to the higher-segment than Samsung and many Chinese brands.
