Samsung Announced Galaxy S10+ Olympic Games Edition, Special Galaxy Buds Included

Samsung just announced the Galaxy S10+ Olympic Games Edition to commemorate the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympics in Japan.

Following its tradition of releasing Olympic versions of its flagship devices, South Korean giant Samsung just officially announced Olympic Games Edition of the Galaxy S10+. This special edition still comes in the Prism White color, but it also comes with a Tokyo 2020 logo on the back panel and a customized Galaxy Buds earbuds included.

There will only be 10,000 devices of this Olympic Games Edition available for sale from late July. The handset will be exclusively distributed by Japanese telecom network Docomo for 1,14,696 JPY (around Rs. 73,300).

Apart from new logos on its back, the Galaxy S10+ Olympic Games Edition comes with the same specifications and features as the standard Galaxy S10+.

The Galaxy S10+ sports a 6.3-inch Quad-HD+ AMOLED panel with a 522 ppi pixel density and it is protected with a Gorilla Glass 6. Up front, instead of a single camera like on the Galaxy S10e and Galaxy S10, the device has a dual selfie camera setup, including a 10MP sensor and an 8MP sensor for depth sensing. Under the hood, it packs a larger 4,100 mAh battery with support for fast charging, wireless fast charging, and the new feature ‘reverse wireless charging’.

On the rear, there is a triple camera system stacked horizontally. The camera setup includes a 12MP primary camera with f/1.5 - 2.4 aperture, a 12MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, and a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera.

Other features on the Galaxy S10+ Olympic Games Edition include IP68 certification for water resistance, support for Dolby Atmos audio, up to 8 seconds of super slow motion video recording, and 800nits of brightness. For software, the handset boots Android 9 Pie-based One UI.
