Regular Galaxy S10 Benchmark Score Revealed, Still Behind The iPhone XS

After benchmark score of the Galaxy S10+ was leaked, the regular Galaxy S10 was also spotted on Geekbench with high scores but still behind the iPhone XS.

The benchmark stores of the Galaxy S10+ with the Samsung’s Exynos SoC was quite disappointing, but it seems like that scores didn’t represent the full potential of the handset and it is proven by the benchmark scores of the regular Samsung Galaxy S10. The phone was just spotted on Geekbench featuring the same chipset with the Plus model, and it got better scores.

Powered by the same Samsung’s Exynos 9820 as well as 6GB RAM as on the Plus variant, the regular Galaxy S10 managed to get a score of 4,382 on the single-core and 9,570 on the multi-core tests.

These scores are 1,134 and 1,571 points higher than those of the Plus model that were previously spotted and relatively meet the expectations for this SoC. After the chipset is fully utilized and tested, the multi-core score will most likely get close to 10,000 points which is in the same level as the Kirin 980 SoC on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and slightly behind the latest Qualcomm’s flagship, Snapdragon 855 SoC.

Like the Exynos 9801 and Apple’s A11 Bionic last year, it is worth noting that the latest Exynos 9820 SoC, which is made with an 8nm manufacturing process is unlikely to beat the Apple’s 7nm A12 Bionic.

Similar to the Galaxy S10+, the regular model is expected to feature the same triple rear camera setup, and that means the setup will likely include a 12MP camera with variable aperture, a telephoto sensor, and a third wide-angle sensor. On the front, there should also be an improved camera.

Moving to the display, it is tipped to sport a 6.1-inch display with the Samsung’s Infinity-O design which means it will have a hole on the display to house the selfie camera.

Samsung already confirmed that they would announce the Galaxy S10 in both San Francisco and London simultaneously at an event on 20 February. The phone will be unveiled along with the Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10E and possibly the foldable phone, Galaxy F.
