After various rumours, Xiaomi has officially launched its Redmi Note 7 Pro, which is a really incredible smartphone. Although the phone’s details have almost been revealed according to the renders, reports, and leaks before, it is still quite interesting to take a look at the price as well as the specifications of the smartphone in the comparison with other smartphones in the Indian market.

This device has a competitive price tag. To have the answer for the question whether this smartphone can compete well with other rivals in the same price segment in the market, let’s compare it with two newly-released Galaxy A30 and Galaxy M30.

Regarding the price, the Redmi Note 7 Pro beats two representatives of Samsung. It is priced at Rs. 13,999 in the Indian market for the standard 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and the higher variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage has the price of Rs. 16,999. These prices are quite acceptable at all.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy M30 comes in two variants including 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage options. These two variants have the respective prices of Rs. 14,990 and Rs. 17,990. About the Samsung Galaxy A30, the device with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage costs Rs. 16,990. It seems that the Redmi handset has the most attractive price tag for the same RAM and storage capacity.

Moving from the price to the hardware, let’s take a look at the comparison among these three smartphones.
The smartphone from Xiaomi sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ screen with a small notch on the top. And the device’s back panel is covered by glass and be available in 3 color options. Also, Xiaomi also protects the back and front sides of the handset with Gorilla Glass 5. Meanwhile, both representatives from Samsung come with 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution, which has an Infinity U waterdrop notch. These 3 handsets are equipped with a rear fingerprint sensor.

In terms of hardware, the phone from Xiaomi is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC and up to 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. On the second hand, the Galaxy M30 has Samsung’s Exynos 7904 SoC, in addition to up to 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. The remaining smartphone, the Galaxy A30 features a Samsung’s Exynos 7885 SoC paired with 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage. Regarding the performance, the Qualcomm chipset in the Redmi phone is probably more powerful than that of Samsung’s representatives.

Regarding the photography capacity, the two Galaxy phones from Samsung feature the most number of rear cameras but the Redmi phone comes with the best shooter. It has a 48MP Sony IMX586 lens with a 5MP depth lens. For taking selfies, the handset has a 13MP front-facing camera.
Samsung equips three rear cameras for its Galaxy M30, including a 13MP primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture, a 5MP wide-angle lens, and a 5MP depth lens. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A30 comes with two rear cameras comprising of a 16MP main sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP depth lens. Both devices feature a 16MP front-facing camera.

Powering the Redmi Note 7 Pro is a battery with a capacity of 4,000mAh paired with Quick Charge 4 support through USB-C port. And the handset runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie at launch. Also, the Samsung Galaxy A30 has a battery with the same capacity as the Redmi phone, but it supports 15W fast charging solution. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy M30 has the best battery with the large capacity of 5,000mAh paired with 15 fast charge support.
