Redmi K30i 5G Unveiled: Snapdragon 765G & 120Hz Display For Rs. 20,000

Redmi K30i is a slightly downgraded model of the Redmi K30 with the Snapdragon 765G chipset, 48MP quad rear cameras, and a beefy 4,500 mAh battery.

Xiaomi has quietly released a new smartphone dubbed Redmi K30i 5G in its home market, China. The Redmi K30i 5G has pretty much the same specs as the Redmi K30 launched in China last December. However, instead of having a 64MP main sensor on the rear, the K30i is equipped with a 48MP unit instead. It is quite unusual that Xiaomi actually offers this phone at the same price as the Redmi K30 when it was first announced.

The Redmi K30i 5G price is listed on JD.com as CNY 1,999 (around Rs. 21,200) for the single 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The handset is available in Red, Purple, White, and Blue color variants. However, only White and Blue colorways are up on JD.com. You can now pre-order the phone in China while the first sale is slated to go live on 2nd June.
Redmi K30i 5G: Specifications & Features
The device rocks a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel that is TUV Rheinland for low blue light. It also supports up to Full-HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10. On top of the display, there is a pill-shaped cut-out, housing a 20MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 765G chipset, which is currently one of the most powerful ones in the mid-range segment. The chipset is coupled with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
There is a 4,500 mAh battery cell packed inside the phone that can be juiced up using a 30W fast charger. Moving to the camera department, it gets a 48MP quad cameras at the back. While the camera setup of the K30i has a 48MP primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture, the Redmi K30 gets a 64MP main sensor. The other three units on the setup are an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP super macro camera, and a 2MP portrait camera.

For software, it is pre-loaded with MIUI 11, which is based on the latest MIUI 11. Other highlights of the phone include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB-C port, 1217 ultra-linear speaker, Hi-Res audio support, headphone jack, dual-frequency GPS, and 5G support.
