Redmi has offered quite a few upgrades on the new entry-level Redmi 7A over its predecessor. The handset made its way to India just a couple of days ago, and its first sale was up yesterday. Unsurprisingly, it took only a few seconds for the Redmi 7A to be sold out.
The handset was pretty popular in the entry-level segment thanks to its competitive price of Rs. 5,999. At this attractive price, the Redmi 7A is equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 439 SoC, 2GB RAM, and 32GB storage. The handset also sports a 5.45-inch screen on the front with HD+ resolution. Moreover, it is fueled by a beefy 4,000 mAh battery which is surely enough for the whole day. You can’t really ask for any more than this for the sub-Rs. 6,000 price range.
However, it seems like Redmi still underestimates how hot the Redmi 7A could be so they didn’t prepare enough stock in its first sale. After just a few seconds, the phone went sold out on both Mi.com and Flipkart. Xiaomi India’s MD Manu Jumar Jain claimed that the brand would prepare higher stock in the upcoming sale on 18 July.
The handset is currently priced at Rs. 5,999 for the variant with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage while you can a model with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage by paying Rs. 6,199. However, you can get a slight reduction in price this month. You can purchase the top-end variant for Rs. 5,999 instead of Rs. 6,199.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite are said to launch very soon. The duo is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 675 SoC and Snapdragon 730 SoC. In addition, they are tipped to be branded models of the recently-launched Xiaomi Mi CC9 and CC9e. Xiaomi also recently teased about these two phones, confirming their existences.
