Images captured by the upcoming Redmi 64MP camera phone will have a 20MP resolution which is much better than that of an 8K TV, Redmi confirms.

Redmi previously announced a photo sample of its 64MP camera smartphone, which suggests that the device will be unveiled soon. Now, the brand has shared more information about its upcoming phone. Accordingly, the image captured by the brand’s 64MP camera smartphone will reportedly have a size of 20MB and resolution much better than that of a TV with 8K resolution.

The teaser photo foregrounds 4 shutter icons, which suggests the 64MP camera smartphone could come with a quad rear camera setup. If this comes true, not only will the phone be the world’s highest –count on a phone, but it will also be the first Red smartphone to have four sensors on the back.

Besides, rumour has it that the 64MP camera smartphone could feature a Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor with 64MP resolution which supports remosaic algorithm and pixel merging Tetracell tech. In addition, the camera offers image output of 16MP in low-light conditions where 4 sensors are combined to one to enhance the light.

Also, the phone has support for up to 100-decibel live HDR for more detailed colors. Besides camera details, the brand has not revealed much information about its upcoming 64MP camera phone. However, we might not need to wait for more leaked details for a long time. Meanwhile, in addition to Redmi, other rivals like Realme and Samsung have also been on the track of launching their own 64MP camera phones.

It is known that its flagship Redmi K20 Pro comes with a triple rear camera setup comprising of a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 855 chipset. And now, as the brand began teasing the Redmi 64MP camera phone, the brand is likely to be preparing for another flagship phone and it could be unveiled in the upcoming few weeks.
