There is bad news for Realme fans in India who are anxiously waiting for the Realme X to come to the country. You will have to wait for a bit longer according to Realme India’s CEO Madhav Sheth. He previously said that the new Realme X would make its debut in India soon. However, now, both Realme India’s page on Twitter and Sheth have just elaborated further about this news and it is not great at all.
Its seem like what Sheth means with “soon” is the second half of 2019. So the phone will not come to India this month or next month. The most optimistic launch date is still in July, but that is the most optimistic of course. There is still a possibility of it launching in other months or maybe even December.
To recall, the device comes with a massive 6.5-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a screen-to-body ratio of 91.2 percent. Embedded under the display is a 6th-generation fingerprint reader for biometric security. With a pop-up selfie camera, the handset doesn’t have any notch or punch hole or any sort on its screen. Ticking at its core is a Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with 6/8GB RAM + 64/128GB of expandable storage. The smartphone is also equipped with HyperBoost 2.0 to further improve its performance.
On the camera front, it sports a 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor with an aperture of f/1.7 and a 5MP depth unit. Up front, it has a 16MP pop-up front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.0. In terms of software, it boots Oppo’s ColorOS v6.0 which is based on Android 9.0 Pie to take care of the software side of things. Fueling the Realme X is a 3,680mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 support.
