Even though the Realme C1 amazon price is set at Rs. 6,990, the device still comes with decent specifications and a large 4,230mAh batterythat is enough for your daily usage.

I guess Realme is not an unknown smartphone brand anymore. In just one year, it has managed to climb at the top of the industry by releasing incredible value-for-money phones in India.

Started as an Oppo’s sub-brand, it went independent after a few months of operating and gathered an immense success in the Indian market despite the market being filled with great offerings from Samsung, Honor, and Xiaomi.

Realme phones all offer great value for an affordable price, making them stand out in the segment. The Realme C1 is no exception as it offers decent performance, dual cameras, and a large 4,230mAh battery and the Realme C1 amazon price is just Rs. 6,999.

You couldn’t ask anything more for such a low price. Therefore, we would like to share our thoughts about this great budget smartphone.

Design

Realme C1 display

Realme’s main targeted customers are youngsters. And that is why Realme smartphones in general or Realmi C1 all have stunning designs for their price ranges. Even though the Realme C1 mobile price at launch was Rs. 7,499 for the sole variant with 2GB RAM / 16GB storage, the company still doesn’t trade off with its design.

The phone still comes with an edge-to-edge screen and a glossy reflective back panel. Even though the rear panel is made of plastic, it still looks good with the glossy sheen.

Display

The Realme C1 mobile sports a 6.2-inch HD+ display with 1,520 x 720p resolution which is decent for its price range. With a relatively small notch, the handset is able to get an 88.8 % screen-to-body ratio. In addition, the display is also colorful and bright indoors.

The colours of the app icons look saturated and deep as well. However, it might still suffer under hard sunlight as well as its viewing angles are also quite average. You might also find it lacking in the sharpness when watching videos, but that is it. You will not find that issue in your daily usage.

When comparing the Realme C1 vs Redmi 6A, the Realme C1 should be on top thanks to the much larger 6.2-inch display over the 5.45-inch display of the Redmi 6A.

Performance & software

Moving to the Real me C1 specification, I believe that the Snapdragon 450 SoC is somewhat a downgrade over the MediaTek Helio P60 that powers the Realme 1. However, considering its price range, it is still acceptable.

The processor is paired with 2GB RAM, so it is better to not expect a really smooth experience, especially when multitasking. Don’t worry, it is still lag-free when it comes to basic and daily tasks like calling or messaging. It will start lagging a bit when you scroll through Twitter or Facebook. In addition, the Snapdragon 450 chipset can still run PUBG, but don’t expect too much from it unless you want to face major disappointment.

PUBG will still work on the low graphics setting and run quite smooth for the first 10 minutes. However, after that, you will experience some sorts of lag issues if you extend the PUBG session.

For software, the phone boots the dated Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS v5.1 on top. I am not really happy with this operating software isn’t optimised for its notch. To be more specific, the notch still tends to intrude and also eats into the content sometimes which might annoy you.

The ColorOS 5.1 also packs several features like split-screen multitasking, Smart Assistant, and Game Mode. In addition, the Realme C1 doesn’t have a fingerprint reader, but it comes with Face Unlock feature instead. However, the feature only works well in good lighting conditions and you might want to unlock your devices using pin or pattern instead.

Overall, the Realme C1 specification is enough for daily usage and justified for its affordable price tag.

Cameras

Realme C1's dual camera setup

The Realme C1 comes with a similar camera setup to the Realme 2. There are a 13MP main camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it comes with a 5MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. There are quite a few camera modes on the Realme C1, including Stickers, Paranoma, Time-Lapse, HDR, and face beauty.

Here are some of the photos that we took with the phone. You can clearly see that it takes decent photos in good lighting conditions. The pictures look quite sharp and the color reproduction is good as well. However, its low-light photography is lackluster as the photos were quite noisy with low details.

Battery

This is the aspect that I don’t like about the Realme C1. It feels like it takes forever to charge the handset. It took me more than four hours to fully charge it from 0 to 100% using the included 5W charger. You might get a bit faster charging rate with a 10W charger but the handset doesn’t support fast charging so it wouldn’t improve much.

A good thing is that the phone is packed with a large 4,230mAh battery which should be enough for the whole day so you can charge it during the night.

During my time with the phone, the phone was able to last for the whole day, though my usage was not too intense. Moreover, the HD+ resolution and a less powerful chipset also contribute to its impressive battery life.

Verdict

Realme c1 price in India 2018 was Rs. 6,999 which is slightly cheaper than the initial price of the Realme C1 2019. You can buy Realme C1 on major e-commerce sites like Flipkart or Amazon. It has a nice design and decent specifications.

The display is also quite big compared to its competitors in the price range as well. Not to mention the large 4,230mAh battery that can easily power the phone throughout the day.

However, it is worth noting that you might have to wait for a few hours to fully recharge the handset. The 2GB RAM is also an issue if you do a lot of multitasking. But for a cheap price tag like that, I don’t think there is a much better option than the Realme C1.
