The upcoming Realme 5 Pro has just been tipped to feature a Snapdragon 712 SoC under the hood and a 48MP main sensor as a part of its quad camera setup.

The specs of the upcoming Realme 5 Pro have just been leaked online ahead of its official launch. The handset is set to be unveiled on 20 August, alongside its sibling Realme 5. Both phones are expected to feature a quad camera system on the rear, and a water-drop notched display. Now, some specs of the Realme 5 Pro has been revealed by popular tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore. The leaked specs include its camera setup and chipset. In his Tweet, Ambhore said that the Realme 5 Pro should draw power from a Snapdragon 712 SoC, which is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 710 SoC on the Realme 3 Pro. Again, I have to remind you that Realme will jump straight from Realme 3 to Realme 5 series because they believe number "4" is not a good number in Chinese culture.

Aside from that, its quad-camera system on the rear will likely include a 48MP Sony IMX586 main sensor, which is in line with the previous report suggesting that the Realme 5 smartphones won’t feature the new 64MP sensor. The brand has already claimed that the main sensor its forthcoming smartphones could capture amazing photos in low-light conditions with bigger pixel size and aperture. The sensor is said to be paired with a secondary ultra-wide camera with a 119-degree field of view. Meanwhile, its sibling Realme 5 will come with a 16MP main sensor as a part of its quad rear camera system.

While Ambhore didn’t reveal the display size of the 5 Pro, he did say that it might sport an AMOLED panel with a water-drop notch on top. He also suggests that the phone will come with an on-screen fingerprint scanner. However, he seems to be unsure about that, “but since it will be using an AMOLED display so we have hopes for it.”
