Pixel 4 XL 5G Spotted on Geekbench With 8GB RAM & Android 10

It seems like Google will include a 5G-capable model for the first time in its upcoming Pixel 4 series and call it Pixel 4 XL 5G.

Google’s next Pixel smartphone is expected to make its appearance next month. According to a new listing on Geekbench, the upcoming Pixel 4 XL might come with a 5G model. You can see that the phone on the listing passed through with the name ‘Google Pixel 4 XL 5G’. While it is not officially confirmed, we believe that the device will still come with the same features and specs as the standard version, but with 5G capabilities. Of course, it should feature the Snapdragon X50 5G modem instead of the regular Snapdragon 24 LTE. According to Geekbench, the modem will be coupled with a 1.78GHz SM8150 octa-core processor, which is also known as the Snapdragon 855 SoC.

Interestingly, the Pixel 4 XL 5G might be the first phone in the lineup to feature 8GB RAM, which is twice as much RAM on the Pixel 3 series smartphones. Software-wise, it is listed to ship with the latest Android 10, which is understandable for a Google’s flagship smartphone. As for the benchmark scores, the Pixel 4 XL 5G achieved 3,545 and 10,519 points in the single-core and multi-core tests. Since this is the first time the phone surfaced online, these are all the details we know about it so far.

Similar to other 5G-capable smartphones like the Galaxy S10 5G, this phone might pack a slightly larger battery. The standard Pixel 4 XL is tipped to sport a 6.23-inch QLED panel with an aspect ratio of 19:9, and a refresh rate of 90Hz. It will come with up to 6GB RAM instead of 8GB RAM like the 5G model and 128GB of storage. Advanced face recognition and 3,700 mAh battery are also expected on this handset.
