Oppo To Bring Oppo Reno Series To India On 28 May

The newly-launched Oppo Reno series is expected to come to the Indian market on 28 May, according to a new leaked poster.

The new Oppo’s sub-brand Reno has been reported to come to India in the upcoming time. Now, a new teaser poster from a retail chain sources (posted by 91mobiles) reveals that the Chinese company is going to announce its Oppo Reno series in the Indian market on 28 May. While the standard Oppo Reno is powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 710 chipset, the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition runs on the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and features the 10X lossless zoom capability. The two smartphones both come with the unique shark-fin pop-up front-facing camera.
OPPO Reno series: Launch date in India
The mentioned teaser poster said that the newly-launched Reno series will come to India on 28 May. These two handsets will most likely be launched as upper mid-range offerings. Meanwhile, Vivo is also planning to bring its Vivo iQOO phones with quite a few similar features to India in the next month. And the next flagship series from OnePlus, the OnePlus 7, is also expected to come out pretty soon. Therefore, the Indian market is about to be swamped with affordable flagship devices in the recent future.
OPPO Reno & Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition: Specs & Features
The standard Oppo Reno runs on a mid-range Snapdragon 710 SoC clubbed with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. On the front, it packs a 6.4-inch OLED full-screen panel thanks to the ‘shark-fin’ front-facing camera, and the display is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 6.
In terms of camera, the phone comes with a dual camera system, consisting of a 48MP main sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP secondary snapper with f/2.4 aperture and SuperClear mode to improve its low-light photography. Up front, there is a 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies and video calling. Ticking at its core is a 3,765mAh cell with support for VOOC 3.0 fast charging. Other features include an on-screen fingerprint reader, Android 9.0-based ColorOS v6, Game Boost 2.0 to for more powerful gaming performance, and NFC.
Moving to the top-end Reno 10X Zoom Edition, it is powered by the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855 chipset paired with up to 256GB storage and 8GB of RAM. It comes with a truly bezel-less 6.65-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 93.1 screen-to-body ratio thanks to the ‘shark-fin’ front-facing camera, and it is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 6.
In terms of camera, the handset features triple cameras, consisting of a 48MP main Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a periscope 13MP telephoto unit with f/3.0 aperture and 10X zoom capability, and a third 8MP third f/2.2 snapper with an ultra-wide-angle lens. Camera features include SuperClear mode that can improve the phone’s low-light photography and also hybrid Optical Image Stabilisation. On the front, it has a 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture that is placed on the fin-shaped pop-up selfie camera.
For security, the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition also features an in-screen fingerprint reader for biometric authentication. Fueling it is a large 4,065 mAh battery with Oppo’s VOOC 3.0 support. It boosts ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie. Finally, similar to the Oppo Reno, the handset is equipped with Dolby Atmos, Game Boost, NFC, a headphone jack, and dual-frequency GPS.
