Oppo Reno3 Reportedly In The Works With Snapdragon 735 & Quad Rear Cameras

According to the leak on Weibo, the Oppo Reno3 will feature the upcoming Snapdragon 735 SoC and quad rear camera setup with a 60MP main sensor.

Oppo introduced 3 models on its Reno2 series in September and OPPO Reno Ace last month. According to the latest rumors, it seems that OPPO is preparing to introduce another lineup called OPPO Reno3. Specifications and prices of the device have just been leaked on Chinese social network Weibo.

According to this leak, OPPO Reno3 will be equipped with a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen that supports Full-HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels). This screen will have a 90Hz refresh rate and a built-in fingerprint sensor.

At the back, it is tipped to rock a quad-camera system consisting of a 60MP main sensor and three more sensors (13MP + 8MP + 2MP). On the front, there will be a 32MP camera for selfies and video chats. There is no information on whether OPPO will still use the shark fin pop-up camera design on this new lineup.

OPPO Reno3 may be the first smartphone to use the upcoming Snapdragon 735 processor. Meanwhile, Reno2 uses Snapdragon 730G chipset. The device may come with 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and will likely be released in China in two variants with 128 GB and 256 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. Under the hood, it will have a 4500 mAh battery with support for fast charging 30W VOOC 4.0. The device will be priced $470 (around Rs. 33,300) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB version and $513 (around Rs. 36,400) for the variant with 8 GB RAM + 256 GB.

OPPO launched the OPPO Reno2 smartphone in China last month. Therefore, it seems that the company will not launch Reno 3 phones soon. The series will most likely launch in late December or early 2020. For now, the brand has not yet confirmed the information has just leaked.

In addition, the company is also said to be developing a flagship called OPPO Reno S for India. It seems that this is an improved version of Reno Ace with an upgrade in the main sensor. To be more specific, the main sensor of the Reno Ace is 48 MP, while rumors suggest that Reno S will rock a 64 MP main sensor.

The device will come with top specs, such as the Snapdragon 855+ chipset and Flash Charge SuperVOOC 2.0 65W technology. The Reno S is expected to be launched in India in early December for around Rs. 40,000.
