Oppo Reno Ace Announced With Snapdragon 855 Plus & 65W Fast Charging

After many leaks and rumors, Oppo finally introduced the flagship Reno Ace in China with Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, 65W fast charging, and quad rear cameras.

After many leaks and rumors, the Oppo Reno Ace has finally been announced in China alongside the Oppo K5. The handset arrives as a flagship smartphone in the Reno series alongside. It comes with a 90Hz screen with a sampling rate of 135Hz, Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, up to 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. It is also the first phone in the world to support 65W Super VOOC quick charging tech, which is claimed to charge its 4,000 mAh battery in half an hour.
OPPO Reno Ace: Price
The price of the Reno Ace in China is CNY 3,199 (around Rs. 32,000) for the entry-level variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The brand also offers two more variants with 8GB RAM / 256GB storage and 12GB RAM / 256GB storage for CNY 3,399 (around Rs. 34,000) and CNY 3,799 (around Rs. 38,000), respectively. It is available in two color options - Blue and Violet. As for launch offers, the two options with 8GB of RAM will respectively cost CNY 2,999 (around Rs. 31,000) and CNY 3,199 (around Rs. 33,000) for a short amount of time.
The company offers a limited edition of the Reno Ace for Gundam’s 40th anniversary, and it is called Reno Ace Gundam Edition. The device features a special paint job on the rear in Blue or Red colors, and it will also come packed with customized themed accessories.
OPPO Reno Ace: Specifications
The Oppo Reno Ace boasts a 6.5-inch OLED panel with FHD+ resolution, refresh rate of 90HZ, and 135Hz sampling rate. It draws power from the latest Qualcomm’s chipset, Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC. The processor is coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. To further boost the handset’s performance, the brand also packs it with FrameBoost 2.0 and TurboBoost 2.0. Software-wise, it boots Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.1 out of the box.
In terms of camera, the device rocks a quad-camera system on the rear, including a 48MP Sony IMX58 main sensor with an f/1.7 lens, a 13MP telephoto unit, a 2MP macro lens, and an 8MP wide-angle camera. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera housed in a tiny water-drop notch. The whole setup is fueled by a large battery with 4,000 mAh capacity and supports 65W fast charging solution. The device also supports cooling technology, UFS 3.0 storage, Dolby Audio, and more.
