Oppo Reno A has made its debut in Japan with a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, an on-screen fingerprint reader for biometric security. It is driven by a Snapdragon 710 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For photography, the device is packed with a dual-camera setup on the rear, including a 16MP main sensor and a 2MP depth-sensing camera for taking portrait photos. On the front, there is a 25MP camera for selfies. It ships with Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS v6.0 to take care of the software side of things.
OPPO Reno A: Price
The handset is retailed at 35,800 JPY (roughly 23,500) for the sole variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The handset is already available for sale via major electronics stores in the country as well as Lotte and Amazon. The device can also be purchased via Lotte Mobile and Line Mobile. There are two color variants that users can choose - Black and Blue.
OPPO Reno A: Specifications
The Oppo Reno A sports a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ (1,080 x 2,340p) resolution, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, and a layer of Gorilla Glass. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor with 6GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage. It has a microSD card slot that allows users to further expand its storage. In terms of software, the device boots Android 9 Pie at launch with Oppo’s ColorOS 6.0 on top as well as Game Boost 2.0. For biometric security, there is an on-screen fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, it is fueled by a 3,600 mAh battery. The device is also IP67 certified for water & dust resistance.
In terms of camera, the brand goes for a dual-camera system at the back of this phone with a 16MP main sensor and a 2MP depth-sensing unit. For selfies, it boasts a 25MP camera for taking selfies and video calling.
