OPPO, Huawei, And Vivo Obtained Approvals To Sell Their 5G Smartphones In China

There are eight 5G smartphones to have got permits for sales in China. Four of which are made by Huawei while the others come from OPPO, Vivo, OnePlus, and ZTE.

China started to issue certifications to some smartphone manufacturers to sell their 5G phones in this country. According to a QQ News report on 17 July, OPPO has just got the approvals from the China Quality Certification Center, and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Accordingly, the phone maker is allowed to release and sell its 5G device in the home market. Besides, some reports stated that the brand will release its Reno 5G in China in Q3 2019. It is expected that the phone will debut sometime within from now until September.

Before OPPO obtained the approvals, Huawei also received its certification in June. This Chinese phone maker announced on 25 June that it has got an approval for the Mate 20 X 5G, which is scheduled to be available for sales later July and may become the first 5G device in the country.

It is known that the Huawei Mate 20X 5G is not the only Huawei’s 5G device to receive the approval. Three other Huawei’s smartphones also obtained the approval for their 5G variants but are unnamed. In addition, ZTE with Axon 10 Pro 5G, Vivo, and OnePlus with OnePlus 7 Pro 5G have got permits to sell their devices as well. Last month, Lenovo and Nubia also introduced the 5G variants of the Lenovo Z6 Pro and Nubia X respectively.

Any of these devices is probably the first 5G phone to be available for sales in the Chinese market. Nevertheless, you will have multiple options to choose from.

To recall, OPPO released the OPPO Reno 5G in Zurich, Switzerland. Then the brand expanded its sales of the phone to other markets across the world. It is known that OPPO Reno 5G has performed well in the Internet speed tests. As the results, it reached a peak of 1.5Gbps in download speed, after which it achieved 1.4Gbps on average, much higher than expected, and nearly 50 times the 4G phones' pace.
