Oppo A9x With 48MP Camera & Helio P70 Goes Official

Oppo just announced the Oppo A9x for the Chinese market. This model is said to be a slightly upgraded version of the recently-announced Oppo A9. The handset is upgraded in terms of camera with a 48MP sensor on the rear. It is now available for pre-ordering for the Chinese market, and it comes with a large 4,020 mAh battery with support for Oppo’s VOOC 3.0, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, an octa-core Helio P70 SoC, and 6GB of RAM.

Oppo A9x: Price

The handset is currently priced at RMB 1,999 (around Rs. 20,300) in China, and it comes in two color variants, Meteorite Black and Ice Jade White. The handset is now available for pre-ordering via the company’s online shop and is set to be up for sale in the market from 21 May.

The Oppo A9x is priced 200 RMB higher than the Oppo A9 whose price is set at RMB 1,799 (around Rs. 18,300) for the single variant with 6GB of RAM / 128GB of storage. The handset is currently up on the company’s e-shop in three color variants, Fluorite, Jade White, and Mica Green.

Oppo A9x: Specs & Features

The handset has a nearly identical look to the Oppo A9. Both of them comes with a water-drop notch on the front and a thin chin at the bottom. On the front, there is also a large 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a screen-to-body ratio of 90.7 percent. Its screen is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 5. Powering the Oppo A9x is an octa-core Helio P70 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

In terms of camera, the handset features a dual camera setup on the rear similar to the Oppo A9. However, the main camera on the setup is a 48MP 6P lens with an f/1.7 lens paired with a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens. Camera features include Colorful Mode and Portrait Mode. Finally, the Oppo A9x is backed by a large 4,020 mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0 and comes with standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Dual 4G VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, and more.
