Oppo A1k With Helio P22 SoC & Android 9 Pie Arrives In India

Just a few days ago, the Chinese phone maker Oppo announced a new budget offering in Russia dubbed Oppo A1K for a $150 price tag which is around Rs. 10,500. Ahead of its launch, we have already mentioned that the handset will come to India pretty soon. Now, the phone now arrives in the Indian market at a lower price.

Oppo A1K: Availability & Price

The phone will be announced in the country on 2 May, and it will go on sale via offline stores at the same time. However, we can’t confirm if the phone will be provided via online stores or not.

It will come in a single memory configuration with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage for a price of Rs. 7,990. There will be two color variants which are Red and Black for you to choose.

Oppo A1K: Specs & Features

It will sport a 6.1-inch HD+ screen with a 720 x 1,560p resolution, a dewdrop notch and Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood, there is an octa-core MTK Helio P22 SoC, paired with 2GB RAM / 32GB of internal storage and an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. You can further expand its storage using a microSD card up to 256GB. For security, the phone doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner but it ships with Oppo’s ColorOS 6.0 that has Face Unlock feature.

As for software, it runs the latest Android 9.0 Pie with Oppo’s ColorOS 6.0 on top. In terms of camera, it comes with a single 8MP camera on the rear with f/2.2 aperture, and on the front, there is a 5MP snapper for taking selfies and video calling. Its connectivity options include $G LTE, Bluetooth v4.2, dual-SIM card slots, Wi-FI, and A-GPS GLONASS. Lastly, powering the phone is a large 4,000mAh cell with no fast charging support. However, the battery is supported by AI which optimizes the device’s battery performance.
