OnePlus GM1915 Certified By Bluetooth SIG, Might Be OnePlus 7 Or 5G Smartphone

OnePlus is expected to bring some new devices in the market in the next couple of months. The Chinese phone will likely announce a new phone with 5G network support and a successor to the OnePlus 6, called OnePlus 7. Additionally, the latter has already been featured in quite a few rumors and leaks. The latest one shows that the OnePlus 6’s successor will come with a triple camera system and a pop-up front camera. And now, another OnePlus handset (model number GM1915) has just been listed on Bluetooth SIG website.

It is not clear whether this device listed on Bluetooth SIG is the successor to the much-liked OnePlus 6 or the upcoming 5G phone. From the listing, we can see that it will have support for Bluetooth 5.0. In addition, the launch date of this phone is not far away, according to the listing. OnePlus is speculated to launch its devices in Q2 this year.

According to previous rumors and leaks, the upcoming OnePlus flagship will come with a different design. Unlike the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T, this handset will most likely have a notch-free display thanks to a pop-up selfie camera similar to the one on the Oppo F11 Pro or Vivo V15 Pro. With the design, the upcoming flagship phone could deliver over 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. Additionally, the handset is said to be the first phone from OnePlus to sport triple rear cameras.

Up front, an AMOLED panel and an improved version of the in-display fingerprint scanner are expected on the OnePlus 7. As for the hardware specifications, both of the OnePlus 5G phone and OnePlus 7 will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 SoC with the former having the Snapdragon X50 modem to enable 5G network. Coupled with the chipset is tipped to be up to 12GB RAM/256GB of internal storage.
