It is likely that OnePlus will change the strategy of introducing only one flagship device and unveil two handsets this time instead. The addition model dubbed OnePlus 7 Pro alongside OnePlus 7 have appeared on various rumours and leaks over the last few months. It is expected that they will be officially announced by May. But before that, tipster OnLeaks and Pricebaba have posted a 360-degree teaser and 5K renders showing the new OnePlus 7 expected design.
This tipster also added that the above-mentioned renders leaked previously are about the OnePlus 7 Pro. And the latest renders show that the standard OnePlus smartphone will sport a display with dewdrop notch and two cameras on the back. In short, OnePlus 7 will have a similar design to OnePlus 6T.
The upcoming OnePlus 7 is expected to have a design of glass sandwich with an edge-to-edge display and dual rear camera setup placed in the center of the panel. In addition, the only typical difference is the LED flash located within the camera module of the device instead of being aligned outside like its predecessor while the other features are the same. Accordingly, the alert slider and power button are on the left spine, the volume rocker alongside SIM slot are placed on the right, and USB-C port is at the bottom edge. The tipster also reveals that the smartphone measures 157.7 x 74.8 x 8.1mm (9.5mm with the camera bump).
In terms of specifications, the upcoming OnePlus 7 is said to sport a 6.2-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution and a tiny cut-out on the top for housing a camera for video calling and taking selfies. Like the OnePlus 6T, the smartphone probably has an on-screen fingerprint scanner for security. Under the hood, the handset will be powered by a Snapdragon 855 chipset. And powering it is a battery with a capacity of 4,550mAh, supporting Warp Charging technology. Lastly, the handset will run OxygenOS based on Android 9.0 Pie at launch.
If the reports are true, the One Plus 7 and its Pro variant will be unveiled on 14 May.
