New Render Shows Huawei Mate 30 Having A Second Rear Display

3D render photos of the upcoming Huawei Mate 30 shows that Huawei might go for a dual display design on its next flagship phone.

Huawei has not shied away from experimenting with its smartphone design or it at least would appear like this when we take a look at all the patents detected in the last few months. Recently, the company is said to be working on a smartphone with dual display, which is identical to that of Vivo NEX dual-display variant and Nubia X.

According to the photo posted by Letsgodigital, the alleged Huawei Mate 30 probably sport a second display on the rear, taking around half the back panel. Additionally, the device has a triple rear camera setup above this display with sensors placed horizontally that stick out quite a lot. However, their position is useful for keeping the phone slightly tilted. Certainly, the bulge issue could be resolved if using a phone case.

Also, users could use the display to take selfies with better rear cameras or show additional information like music playlist, weather, etc.

On the front, the device sport a tiny cut-out housing a time-of-flight 3D depth sensor for supporting 3D Face Unlock, which is a feature that should be around for quite a while. In addition, the device might have a narrow chin and an audio jack at its bottom.

Because it is just a patent, the official specifications of the smartphones remain unknown. It is worth mentioning that not all of the patents will turn into reality. Therefore, while there has been no official information about the Huawei Mate 30, you should take this with a pinch of salt.

For further information, the new patent of Huawei was published by European Union Intellectual Property Office and the World Intellectual Property Office filed on November 28, 2018.
