Motorola is expected to launch two Android One devices in the mid-range segment called Motorola One Action and One Pro. So far, the brand has only announced on Android One phone, and it is the Motorola One Vision. Now, Motorola One Action just appeared on the benchmarking site Geekbench, revealing some specifications of the upcoming offering.
According to the Geekbench listing, this forthcoming Android One device will be powered by the same processor as the Motorola One Vision, and that is the Samsung’s Exynos 9609 SoC which is said to be the slightly lower clocked version of the Samsung’s Exynos 9610 SoC that is packed on the Galaxy A50.
The processor is paired with 4GB RAM in the listing and that is the same RAM as the Motorola One Vision. In terms of software, it will boot Android 9 Pie at launch. As the Motorola One Vision and One Action share the same processor and amount of RAM, it is expected that the two also have similar benchmark scores as well. The One Action got scores of 1,601 and 5,377 points in the single-core and multi-core tests.
Other than the Geekbench listing, we have got only a few details about the upcoming mid-range handset. Based on the name of this phone, many people suggest that the Motorola One Action might be launched as a rugged device, featuring IP68 rating and MIL-STD-810G certification like some LG smartphones. With the One Action having the same specifications as the One Vision, the Motorola One Pro will likely have superior performance over the two handsets. However, we haven’t got any information regarding the One Pro, so it is just mere speculation.
While the One Action popped up on Geekbench, the brand unveiled another offering called Moto Z4 in the US which is the successor to last year’s Moto Z3. The smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 675, single 48MP rear camera, in-display fingerprint scanner, and more.
