Apart from the triple rear cameras and an in-display fingerprint sensor, the Meizu 16Xs is also rumored to come with the new Snapdragon 712 SoC.

Meizu just announced its new flagship dubbed Meizu 16s last month. Now, it seems like the Chinese brand is planning to launch a new phone called Meizu 16Xs at a more affordable price compared to the Meizu 16s. The handset is expected to have a similar look to its premium counterpart while packing a slightly thicker front bezels. The Meizu 16Xs is said to be the successor to the Meizu 16X that launched last year.

The device with model number M926Q was listed on TENAA with its photos. The pictures reveal that the handset will come with the company’s design language. It shows an uninterrupted display with thin bezels on both the top and bottom of the front. You can easily see a selfie camera on the top so it will not feature the pop-up selfie camera design.

On the rear, there is a triple camera system stacked vertically with an LED flash. The setup is listed to include a 48MP main camera and two 8MP + 5MP shooters. On the front, it has a 16MP snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

The handset will sport a 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 1,080 x 2,230p resolution. It is listed to boot the latest Android 9 Pie and powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz and 6GB of RAM. The processor was previously rumored to be the Snapdragon 712 SoC. For security, It will have a fingerprint reader embedded under its display and pack 64GB internal storage without expanding option. Fueling the phone will be a 3,900mAh battery under the hood.

To recall, its predecessor Meizu 16X was priced at RMB 2,100 (around Rs. 21,400) at launch, so we believe that the price of the upcoming Meizu 16Xs will stay in the same level. Lastly, its launch date should be too far off considering the fact that it already visited TENAA.
