The South Korean maker LG has recently unveiled three smartphones in India. The brand has strongly come back to the cheap and affordable segments in this country with the LG W lineup. The series has cheap LG W10, LG W30, and an affordable LG W30 Pro.

These smartphones will be taking on the likes of other affordable devices from Nokia, Samsung, Vivo, OPPO, Realme, and Xiaomi. However, as the LG W30 and W10 have a quite close pricing, you would be confused about the differences between the two phones. Therefore, let’s figure it out in this article.
LG W30 vs W10: Price In India

The W10 with 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage is the cheapest phone in the series with the price of Rs. 8,999. Meanwhile, the W30 costs Rs. 9,999 in India for a similar configuration.
Both smartphones come in only a memory variant. In terms of colors, the W10 is available in two color options including Smokey Grey and Tulip Purple. Meanwhile, the W30 will have Thunder Blue, Platinum Grey, and Aurora hues.
LG W30 vs W10: Specifications

Regarding the design, both the W10 and W30 look similar to each other, but the latter has more high-end feel due to the chamfered edges and textured back. It is known that they are all made of polycarbonate, however, the W30 appears to worth the money over the W10.
While the most budget W10 sports a 6.19-inch display with HD+ resolution, the W30 has a 6.26-inch display with HD+ resolution. The handsets also have different notch types. The former features a rectangular notch cut-out while the latter has a V-shaped notch. Additionally, both smartphones come with a chunky chin and thick bezels.
The two devices come with a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC under the hood, combined with 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage. And as the W10 and W30 belong to the budget segment, you can only expect acceptable performance in daily usage and gaming. Besides, the handsets have a microSD slot for users to expand their devices’ storage.

In terms of imaging capabilities, while the W10 has a dual rear camera setup on the back including a 13MP sensor and a 5MP depth sensor, the W30 gets a triple camera setup including a 13MP wide angle sensor, a 12MP sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera setups are aligned vertically on the phones’ life side. On the front, the W30 features a 16MP shooter while the W10 has an 8MP lens.
Both the W30 and W10 are backed with a beefy 4,000 mAh battery for a full day of usage. But LG has equipped the old micro-USB port at the phones’ bottom for data transfer and charging. Thankfully, two handsets still have a headphone jack and their fingerprint sensors are placed on the rear panel.
In terms of software, the W30 and W10 run Android 9 Pie at launch, so they can have features like Google Assistant and Digital Wellbeing right at launch. Additionally, they will also receive software updates faster. LG also offered a feature for changing the notch design on two handsets, if you want to do so.
LG W30 vs W10: Final thoughts
The new LG W30 price is Rs. 1,000 higher than the W10 as it features a triple camera setup on the back, better selfie shooter and more high-end design. In our opinions, the W30 will worth your money over the W10. However, in case you do not have an additional Rs. 1,000 to spend, you can buy the W10 with a similar configuration and beefy battery life.
