LG V40 ThinQ With Quad DAC, 6.4-Inch OLED Display Launched In India: Price & Specifications

After releasing in Korea in October, the LG V40 ThinQ is now finally available in the Indian market starting from 20 January.

LG finally launches the LG V40 ThinQ in the Indian market. Buyers can now order the phone via Amazon.in and the e-retailer will start shipping the orders on 24 January. The handset already launched back in October 2018 at a price tag of $899.99 (around Rs. 64,000). And it took LG more than 3 months to offer the flagship in India. The USP of this phone should its Quad DAC that is touted much better audio quality.
The LG latest flagship, V40 ThinQ, is powered by the powerful Snapdragon 845 processor and sports an OLED notched display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone is IP68-certified, and it has a military-grade build as well. Again, the highlight of this handset is its 32-bit Quad DAC along with LG’s Boombox speaker.
LG V40 ThinQ: Price
The LG V40 ThinQ’s MRP (maximum retail price) is Rs. 60,000. However, Amazon India has already listed the phone with a price of only Rs. 49,990 in two color options of Blue and Grey.
Users with Amazon Prime can now order the handset today and get a 10% discount with an HDFC Bankcard. Moreover, users also can buy the phone with no-cost EMI with a Bajaj Finserv EMI card and other popular debit as well as credit cards. Amazon Prime users are also able to claim Rs. 1,000 Amazon Pay cashback. Amazon will start offering the LG V40 ThinQ from January 20 when they open the sale event - Great Indian Sale.
Amazon India will also offer free-of-charge screen replacement within 6 months after purchasing the phone. Moreover, they also provide an Rs. 5,000 exchange discount in lieu of an old phone.
LG V40 ThinQ: Specs & Features
The LG V40 ThinQ comes with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, and it can now be updated to Android 9.0 Pie. The handset sports a 6.4-inch Quad-HD+ OLED FullVision panel with a 3,120 x 1,440 pixels resolution, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor along with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM as well as 128GB of expandable storage via a microSD slot (up to 2TB).
The handset features a triple rear camera system, comprising of a 12MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.5 and 1.4µm pixel, a 16MP ultra-wide sensor with an aperture of f/1.9 and 1µm pixels. Besides, the setup also includes a 12MP sensor with 1µm pixels and a telephoto lens with an aperture of f/2.4.
On the front, the handset comes with a dual selfie camera system, including an 8MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.9 and 1.4µm pixels; and a 5MP wide-angle sensor with 1.4µm pixels and an aperture of f/2.2.
The camera setup is backed with a Triple Preview feature that allows users to take 3 simultaneous photos from the rear camera system and they can choose the best photo out of three.
