LG Q70 With Snapdragon 675 SoC & Triple Rear Cameras Go Official

LG Q70 arrives as the first LG phone to come with a punch-hole display along with some amazing features like military durability and more.

LG Q70 is the latest smartphone from LG, and it will arrive in the mid-range segment. The brand announced it as the direct successor to the LG Q60 as well as the first LG smartphone to feature a hole-punch display. The LG Q70 features a glass panel, metal frame, and also an all-display fascia with relatively thin bezels. Other notable features of the phone include a Snapdragon 600-series chipset, military-grade durability, a beefy battery, and a triple camera setup.

LG Q70: Availability & Price

The LG Q70 is retailed in Korea at 5,48,900 KRW, which is around Rs. 32,500. The handset is available in a single Mirror Black color and will be up for sale from 6 September. The brand hasn’t revealed its plan to bring the phone to other markets, including India.

As mentioned, the handset is MIL-STD-810G certified, which is said to withstand vibration, low & high temperature, humidity, thermal shock, and impact. On the front, it sports a 6.4-inch ‘FullVision’ display with FHD+ ( 2,310 x 1,080p) resolution and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The display has a punch hole at the top left side of the phone for housing a selfie snapper. Under the hood, it is driven by a Snapdragon 675 SoC, paired with 4GB RAM and an Adreno 612 GPU. It also packs 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable via a microSD card slot up to 2TB.

On the imaging front, it boasts a triple camera setup that comprises of a 32MP main sensor with an f/1.8 lens, a 13MP ultra-wide shooter with 120-degree field of view, and a 5MP depth unit. On the front, there is a 16MP snapper for taking selfies and video chats. Software-wise, it boots Android 9.0 Pie at launch and packs a fingerprint reader on the rear for security. A beefy 4,000 mAh battery is in charge of fueling the whole setup, and it can be refilled with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Other notable features include USB-C port, a dedicated Google Assistant button, DTS: X 3D Cinema Sound, Hi-Fi Quad DAC, and some standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and more.
