LG has just launched a new flagship in the Indian market. The handset is called G8s ThinQ and it arrives as the latest offering in the LG ThinQ lineup. It is driven by a Snapdragon 855 SoC and interesting features like Hand ID, which make use of an infrared and ToF sensor to unlock the phone by scanning pattern of users’ hand. The device also has Air Motion, which allows users to control certain functions of the phone with hand gestures.

The LG G8s ThinQ price in India is Rs. 36,990 in India for the single variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The device will come in Mirror White, Mirror Teal, and Mirror Black color variants. Users can start purchasing the handset via authorized resellers.

The LG G8s ThinQ is featured the Hand ID feature that allows users to unlock their phones with just hand gestures. On the front, its notch house an 8MP selfie camera and a ToF unit. They enables Hand ID, Face Unlock , and Air Motion features on the handset. It packs a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ OLED panel and draws power from a Snapdragon 855 SoC. The chipset is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage.
On the rear, there is a triple camera setup, including a 12MP main sensor with an f/1.8 lens, a 12MP telephoto camera, and a 13MP ultra-wide camera with 137-degree FOV. The device is certified with IP68 water and dust resistance as well as MIL-STD 810G build quality. Fueling the handset is a 3,550 mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0. Finally, the device ships with Android 9 Pie at launch with LG UX 8.0 on top to take care of the software side of things.
