HTC Wildfire X Launched With Triple Cameras, Helio P22 SoC, 3GB RAM

HTC has come back with an attempt to revive its nearly-dead mobile phone business in the past few years. This time, HTC targets the entry-level segment and revive an old series called Wildfire.

HTC Wildfire X has the starting price of only Rs. 10,999 in the Indian market, and what this smartphone offers really far exceeds the entry-level segment. So far, there has been no information on whether HTC will bring the Wildfire X to other markets or not.

The most notable feature of the Wildfire X is that it comes with a triple rear camera setup including a 12MP main lens, an 8MP lens with 2X optical zoom, as well as a 5MP depth camera with bokeh effect support. It can be seen that the rear camera setup of the Wildfire X is not inferior to many mid-range smartphones.

The design of the phone is also pretty good. Accordingly, the device comes with a 6.2-inch display with waterdrop notch, thin bezels, and an eye-catching and glossy Sapphire Blue case. However, its chin is still slightly thick. In addition, the brand has to downgrade some other specifications to keep the price of smartphones at the lowest level.

Under the hood, the handset is powered with MediaTek's Helio P22 SoC. Although this chipset also has 8 cores, they are only Cortex-A53 with a maximum clock speed of 2Ghz, which still delivers low performance. Additionally, the phone has 3GB RAM and only 32GB storage. There is another variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, but its price is Rs. 13,999. Powering the phone is a 3,300 mAh battery.

Besides, the phone also comes with a special accessory called "MyBuddy". This accessory can help users locate the smartphone in case they lose their phones, trigger a loud alarm, and send live location information to relatives or friends.
