iPhone 11 Pro Among Best-Selling Products in Alibaba's Record Singles' Day Sale In China

It seems like Apple's latest iPhone 11 series is still very popular in China and the Alibaba's Singles' Day sales figure proves that.

Yesterday was Singles' Day in China - it could be said that it is Chinese version of the Amazon's Prime Day, organized by Alibaba.

It seems like the iPhone 11 series is even more preferred by the Chinese consumers than the Huawei Mate 30 or Galaxy Note 10 series

The 24-hour shopping event surpassed last year's record of more than $30 billion in total sales. Among them, the two new iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max are two of the best-selling items on the event.

2019 marks the 11th year of Alibaba's Singles' Day event. As mentioned above, the event takes place for the whole 24 hours on November 11 every year, with many items being highly discounted on Alibaba's e-commerce website. Last year, total consumer spending on the event even surpassed the other two big shopping events, Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

There were a lot of concerns that brands belong to US-based companies might be scabbed by the Chinese consumers. However, the situation seems to be much better as the US has the second highest value of goods sold in the Chinese market compared to other countries.

In fact, China has been one of the major causes of Apple's unrest recently. Some reports suggest that Chinese consumers and companies are seeking to boycott American smartphones, such as Apple-made iPhone models.

However, Apple CEO Tim Cook said during his most recent business report meeting that things are starting to cool down. Mr. Cook emphasized that "trade tensions are now easing" compared to previous times. He added that Apple's new devices are receiving very positive feedback in the world's most populous country.

And it seems that Tim Cook is right. Just looking at how the iPhone 11 sold like hot cakes yesterday was enough to see that.
