The Chinese tech giant, Huawei has recently unveiled its new Huawei P30 and P30 Pro flagships. Both devices feature an enhanced design and advanced cameras for better imaging capacities.

In terms of the phone design, the vanilla Huawei P30’s chin is thinner than its predecessor and its Pro variant as well. Yu Chengdong, Huawei’s Consumer Business CEO, states that Huawei could have provided a smaller chin.
He revealed that Huawei was able to provide thinner chin on the P30’s front display, but the company did not do that because thinner chin could have affected user experience adversely. According to his explanation, if there is not any border at the bottom, the display can inadvertently get pressed every time users slide from the phone bottom.
In addition, the CEO said that paying attention to minimizing side bezels is more important than trying to reduce bottom chin, which implies that Huawei is also focusing on this at present.

Regarding the specs, the vanilla Huawei P30 sports a 6.1-inch OLED DCI-P3 HDR screen with Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Additionally, the phone comes with HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC at launch, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
Moreover, the device also supports internal storage expansion via NM Card of Huawei. As for the imaging capacities, the Huawei P30 features a triple rear camera setup comprising of a 40-megapixel main camera, a 16-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens, as well as an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, alongside the dual-LED flash.
For video calling and taking selfies, the handset also has a 32MP front-facing camera. Besides, it runs Huawei's EMUI 9.1 interface which is based on Android 9 Pie. Powering the phone is a battery with a capacity of 3,650mAh with 22.5W quick charging support.
