The CAD-based renders and 360-degree video of Huawei’s forthcoming device, the Huawei P30, have been released, providing us with a clear look.
The P30 features several major upgrades compared to the P20, and the first one is its display. The phone’s notch containing the front camera has been minimized to the waterdrop style, which occupies significantly less space compared the previous versions. Additionally, the fingerprint scanner has been removed, enabling the chin’s size to be reduced significantly.
Unsurprisingly, the P30 will feature a gradient color finish as Huawei really loves it. The back of the device also has a splendid emerald green color and a similar texture to the Huawei Mate 20. The picture also shows that the P30 smartphone contains a USB-C charging port and a 3.5mm headphone jack, which are contained in the bottom frame. You will also find a system of three rear cameras on the multicolored glass back instead of just two cameras like on the P20, which allow you to take much better photos.
Since the P30’s rear and frontal surface has no fingerprint sensor, it will probably feature an in-display sensor. The phone has a 6-inch display screen and its dimensions are 149.1 x 71.4 x 7.5. However, its thickness has been increased to 9.3mm to accommodate the camera hump.
The device’s volume rocker and power button are both located on the right side. The phone’s three rear cameras system is expected to have a 38 MP main sensor and 5x lossless zoom, and there’s also a 24-megapixel selfie camera. P30 is reported to feature the Kirin 980 processor that first appeared in the Mate 20, allowing great performance. Regarding its software, the phone includes Android 9 Pie underneath Huawei’s EMUI 9.0 skin.
Although there is no information about the prices of P30 and P30 Pro yet, it is likely that they will cost from £50 to £100 higher compared to the P20 and P20 pro.
We can’t be sure when the P30 will be introduced. However, it is reported that Huawei will attend the Mobile World Congress in February so the smartphone may be announced there. If the current rumors and reports are correct, Huawei will be able to secure many customers who prefer to directly plug in their headphones instead of having to use an adapter.
