Huawei just silently released a new phone called the Huawei P Smart+ (2019). This new phone is quite similar to the recent P Smart (2019) that the phone maker announced early this year. The P Smart+ (2019) and P Smart (2019) do have some similarities between them. Both models sport a 6.21-inch panel with a water-drop notch on top and a 3,400 mAh cell. Under the hood, both of the handsets are powered by a Kirin 710 chipset. Moving to the differences, the Plus model has triple cameras on the rear while the older phone only has two cameras on the back.
The P Smart+ (2019) has just surfaced on Huawei’s official site, and it should be up for sale in the upcoming weeks in the global market. We don’t know the exact pricing of the handset yet, but it should be slightly higher than that of the P Smart (2019) with € 249 (around Rs. 20,400).
Huawei P Smart+ (2019): Specifications & Features
As mentioned, the handset comes with a triple camera system instead of a dual one on the P Smart (2019). The system comes with a 24MP main sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, there will be an 8MP front camera housing in the water-drop notch. Its cameras will be backed by AI which is touted to be able to identify more than 22 categories and 500 scenes in real-time. Meanwhile, the P Smart (2019) sports two rear cameras, including a 13MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor for depth sensing.
The P Smart+ (2019) will feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, it is powered by Huawei-made Kirin 710 chipset, coupled with 3GB RAM/64GB internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD slot up to 512GB.
In terms of software, the handset runs Huawei’s EMUI 9 which is based on the latest Android 9.0 Pie. It will come in two colour options, Midnight Black and Starlight Blue.
