The major difference between the three handsets is that while the Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro come with a dewdrop notched display and an in-display fingerprint sensor, the Nova 5i features a hole-punch screen and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Moreover, the Nova 5i is powered by the Kirin 710 SoC while the other two are driven by more powerful Kirin 810 and Kirin 980 SoC.

Chinese buyers can start pre-ordering the phone from today while they have to wait until 28 June if they want to buy it directly. There will be three colors option for them to choose from: Crush Blue, Crush Red, and Midnight Black.
Huawei Nova 5i: Specifications & Features
The handset comes with a 6.4-inch hole-punch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution. It is driven by a Kirin 710 octa-core processor, accompanied by 6/8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Software-wise, the device runs on Android 9 Pie with the company’s EMUI 9.1 on top. Keeping the phone running is a beefy 4,000 mAh battery with 10W charging solution.
On the camera front, the Huawei Nova 5i also has a quad camera setup just like its siblings. However, its setup comprises of a 24MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, there is a 24MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture in the front punch hole. For security, it features a fingerprint scanner that is mounted at its back instead of embedded under the screen like other two Honor Nova 5 smartphones.
