The upcoming Huawei Nova 5i was just spotted on benchmarking site Geekbench carrying a Kirin 710 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and Android 9.0 Pie.

The upcoming additions to the Huawei Nova series, dubbed Huawei Nova 5 and Huawei Nova 5i, were just certified by EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) not too long ago. Apart from the EEC certification, the Huawei Nova 5i was also passed China’s 3C and the US FCC. Now, the upcoming handset from Huawei surfaced on the benchmarking site Geekbench with some of its details.

Huawei Nova 4

The Huawei Nova 5i is listed on Geekbench under the codename Huawei GLK-LX3. The listing confirms that the upcoming mid-ranger will be powered by a Huawei’s Kirin 710 SoC built on the 12nm fabrication process. With the Kirin 710 SoC and 4GB of RAM, the Nova 5i scored 1,538 points in the single-core test and 5,388 points in the multi-core test. Its benchmark scores are pretty much in the same level as other handsets with the same Kirin 710 SoC on the Geekbench database. As mentioned, the listing also reveals that it will come with 4GB RAM. However, there might be one or more memory configurations when it launches.

Apart from the Geekbench listing, its listing on 3C also reveals that the phone will have a 10W charger included. While it might be disappointed that the phone doesn’t come with fast charging solution, Huawei still packs it with a beefy 3,900 mAh battery, according to its listing on the US FCC.

In terms of software, the Geekbench listing shows that it will ship with Android 9 Pie out of the box, possibly with Huawei’s EMUI 9.0 on top. However, it’s worth noting that Google has already stopped providing Huawei rights to access its services like Google Play Store as well as other services. There is a possibility that Huawei will switch to its self-made HongMeng OS or also called as Ark OS as suggested by some recent reports. We will keep you updated about this matter, so stay tuned.
