Huawei already released the Huawei Mate X for a while and we have heard the company planning to launch a new model with the Kirin 990 SoC for a few months. The Chinese OEM even showcased the Mate Xs briefly two months ago and confirmed the existence of the device. In particular, the Huawei Mate Xs will come with a Kirin 990 5G SoC and launch in China sometime in March next year.

In an interview with the press in China, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Richard Yu revealed that the successor to the Huawei Mate X will carry a Kirin 990 processor, a more durable display, and a better hinge mechanism. He further confirmed that the device will make its debut at the MWC 2020 event in Barcelona. The event is scheduled to take place from 24 February to 27 February. It is still unclear whether this upcoming device is the Mate Xs or it is another device. That is what we need to wait for confirmation from the brand.
