Huawei has introduced its flagship Mate 30 lineup in Munich of Germany. The newly-launched series has two variants including Huawei Mate 30 Pro and Huawei Mate 30. It is known that both handsets come with Kirin 990 5G SoCs under the hood. The phones take the design cue from the Mate 20 lineup launched last year and flaunt a curved display with a notch. The series’ rear panel is a bit different from the previous devices as it features up a 2x2 grid circular quad rear camera setup. And because of the escalating U.S trade ban on Huawei, the duo will run EMUI 10 based on Android 10 open source at launch. The handsets will not have support for Google services and apps. This means the duo will not be able to access to Play Store, Hangouts, YouTube, Gmail, and Maps to set up 3rd-party apps.

Powering the flagship is a huge 4,500 mAh battery with 27W SuperCharge wireless charging, and 40W wired charging with TÜV Rheinland certification. Similar to the previous devices, the Mate 30 lineup also comes with reverse wireless charging. The phone is considered the first phone with second-gen 5G network in the world as it has up to 14 antennas to offer unprecedented speed.
