The Chinese giant Huawei has just unveiled the next flagship series, Huawei P30, at an event in Paris yesterday. Huawei CEO Richard Yu also confirmed after the release event that the company would not launch a 5G model to the P30 series. In addition, neither the Huawei P30 nor Huawei P30 Pro comes with support for 5G network support, unlike its rival smartphones, Galaxy S10 series, that comes with a separate 5G model.

Huawei P30 Pro
While many phone OEMs have been embracing the 5G trend, it is still not as potential for Huawei as the biggest market for it is the US. For now, Huawei has no way to penetrate the market as it has already been banned. The company can still expand their businesses to other markets but it will not be as beneficial. Moreover, many countries are also considering to ban Huawei from building 5G infrastructure.

As for the P30 Pro, it scored 112 points in the DxOMark camera test only one day after it launched. That makes it the best smartphone in terms of camera quality, beating Huawei Mate 20, Huawei P20 Pro, and Galaxy S10+ with 109 points. They are already up for sale with starting prices of €799 (around Rs. 62,000) and €999 (around Rs. 77,500) for the P30 and P30 Pro, respectively. Even though the P30 duo hasn’t been available in the Chinese market but it seems to grab a massive attention in Huawei’s home country as the orders of the P30 series is ten times higher than its predecessor, P20 series. It is expected to launch in China on 11 April.

As for Indian launch, the series was also just spotted on a “Notify Me” page on Amazon India which hints imminent launch.
