It seems like HTC is back to the game as the Taiwanese phone maker just announced two new phones called HTC 19+ and HTC U19e in Taiwan. The latest device before these two phones is the HTC Desire 12s, which made its debut in December last year. Both of the new HTC phones are launched in the mid-range segment. The Desire 19+ is the first phone from the brand to come with a water-drop notched display and triple rear cameras.
HTC Desire 19+ & HTC U19e: Price
The Desire 19+ variant with 5GB of RAM is priced at 9,990 TWD (around Rs. 22,100), while the higher option with 6GB of RAM is retailed at 10,990 TWD (around Rs. 24,300). Meanwhile, the HTC U19e’s sole variant with 6GB RAM will set you back by 14,900 TWD (around Rs. 32,900). Users can now purchase the HTC Desire U19e in HTC’s website, while they have to wait until early July to buy the HTC Desire 19+.
HTC Desire 19+: Specifications & Features
The handset sports a 6.2-inch screen with an HD+ resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio. It is driven by an Helio P35 processor, paired with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage. In terms of software, it runs on HTC’s Sense UI, which is based on Android 9.0 Pie.
In terms of camera, it sports a triple camera setup at the back that includes a 13MP main camera, an 8MP super-wide camera with a 120-degree field of view, and a 5Mp depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP camera with an f/2.0 lens and auto HRD for selfies and video chats. Fueling the phone is a 3,850 mAh battery, which is the largest among HTC Desire smartphones. For biometric security, it features Face Unlock feature and a fingerprint scanner that is mounted on its rear panel.
HTC U19e: Specifications & Features
Moving to the HTC U19e, it comes with a 6” FHD+ screen with 2,160 x 1,080p resolution and Gorilla Glass protection. The phone is driven by a Snapdragon 710 SoC which is more powerful than the Helio P35 SoC on the HTC Desire 19+. The processor is coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage which is expandable via a microSD slot. For software, it also boots Android 9.0 Pie and features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.

The setup includes a 12MP main shooter with f/1.6 aperture and a 20MP 2x telephoto camera with f/2.6 aperture. The smartphone supports auto HDR, phase detection autofocus, slow-motion video recording, AR mapping, and 4K video recording. Up front, there is a 24MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens.
