Honor Launches Two Honor Pad 5 Tablets in India Alongside Honor 20 Series

Alongside the Honor 20 series, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor also announced a new tablet called Honor Pad 5 in India. This new tablet is offered in two options, one with 10.1-inch display & Kirin 659 SoC and the other packing an 8-inch screen and a Kirin 710 processor.
Honor Pad 5: Price & Availability
The tablet’s price in the country is Rs. 15,499 for the 8-inch variant with 3GB RAM / 32GB storage. You can buy the large 10.1-inch model for in two models with 3GB RAM / 32GB storage and 4GB RAM / 64GB storage for Rs. 16,999 and Rs. 18,999, respectively. The device’s exact date to go on sale is unknown but we now that it is slated to be available for purchase in July via Flipkart. Both of the variants will be available in a single Glacial Blue color.
Honor Pad 5: Specifications & Features
As mentioned, the new Honor Pad 5 is available in two variants with different screen size, which are 8.1 inches and 10.1 inches. Both of the displays have the same resolution of 1,200 x 1,920p. They also both have dual stereo speakers, but the smaller model is equipped with Dolby Atmos while the large variant is stuffed with Harman Kardon speakers.
Powering the 8-inch and 10.1-inch models are Kirin 659 SoC and Kirin 710 SoC, respectively. While the large model has 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of storage, the smaller one is only offered in a sole memory configuration with 3GB of RAM / 32GB of internal storage. In terms of software, they ship with Android 9 Pie at launch with the company’s Magic UI 2 on top.
On the camera front, the 8-inch model sports a single 8MP rear camera with autofocus and an 8MP fixed-focus front-facing camera. Meanwhile, the 10.1-inch variant comes with a single 8MP camera with autofocus at the rear and a 2MP fix-focus front camera for selfies and video chats.
