Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has just confirmed on its media invites that it is going to launch the Honor 9X in India on 14 January. Previously, the brand already confirmed the launch event of the Honor 9X to take place in January and would be available via Flipkart. Alongside the smartphone, it is tipped to announce the new Honor Magic Watch 2 as well. To recall, the Honor 9X made its first debut in China in July last year with a pop-up selfie camera and a Kirin 710F chipset, while the Magic Watch 2 was announced in November with an AMOLED panel, two-week battery life, and sleep tracking.

Honor 9X: Price & Availability
As mentioned, the Honor 9X will at least be up for sale via Flipkart. As for the price, the Honor 9X’s price in China was set at CNY 1,399 (around Rs. 14,500) for the entry-level model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The prices go up to CNY 1,599 (around Rs. 16,500) and CNY 1,899 (around Rs. 19,600) for the 6GB RAM / 64GB storage model and 8GB RAM / 128GB storage model, respectively. We believe that the Honor 9X price in India should be at the same level as the Chinese price.
As for availability, Honor hasn't confirmed when it will release the phone for sale.
Honor 9X: Features & Specifications
The handset comes with a 6.59-inch Full-View LCD panel with no notch or punch-hole thanks to the pop-up camera mechanism. There is a 16MP camera housed on a pop-up module on the front for selfies and video calls. Under the hood, it is driven by a Kirin 710F chipset, coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. Software-wise, it ships with EMUI 9.0 out of the box, which is based on Android 9.0 Pie.

Around the back, it gets triple cameras stacked vertically. The setup includes a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle camera, and a 2MP depth-sensing camera. Fueling the phone is a 4,000 mAh battery, which supports 10W charging technology via a USB-C port.
