A new leak dropped and it shows the glass panel of the upcoming Sony Xperia XZ4, hinting the device to feature a 21:9 aspect ratio display.
Last month, we had the chance to get a first look at the anticipated Xperia XZ4 would look like. A smartphone that we found to feature a better design than its predecessor XZ3 with very thin bezels, triple rear camera setup, and much lengthier display. However, those details were based on non-official leaked CAD schematics. But the leakster providing them has a good track record, so there is a pretty good chance that he got it right this time as well, showing the actual look of the upcoming Xperia XZ4.
Today, a new leak just dropped, giving a good look of the front glass panel for the Sony Xperia XZ4. And it actually has a pretty much the same look with the previous CAD renders which may reaffirm the above information. A 21:9 aspect ratio screen will feature in the front of the phone, surrounded by a very thin frame.
But it is worth noting that the phone’s bezels are really thin, yet the bezels on the top and bottom of the phone aren’t symmetrical, which may rub many people the wrong way. The 2 holes near the earpiece should not be a dual front camera system nor a facial recognition module. If previous leaks are accurate, those holes simply accommodate a single front camera and a sensor.
Also, as seen on the earlier leaks, the upcoming Sony Xperia XZ4 will most likely feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, not the enhanced facial recognition system or under-glass sensor. It is also rumored to have a large 3,900mAh battery, which may help Sony back in the competition for the best battery life. And it is expected to be powered by the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855 SoC and 6GB RAM.
The XZ3’s successor, Xperia XZ4, will likely be introduced at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in February next year.
