Samsung’s latest attempt to compete in the budget phone segment is the new Galaxy M series. The lineup includes Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, Galaxy M30, and Galaxy M40. In just 4 months, the company has reportedly sold over 2 million Galaxy M smartphones and it sets the target to earn over 1 billion USD in online sales in the Indian market.
Now, it seems like the brand is about to announce improved models of the Galaxy M phones. A new device was just listed on benchmarking platform Geekbench, and it might be the Galaxy M30s. the Geekbench listing gives us a few details about the upcoming phone, including its chipset and RAM variants.
SamMobile previously reported that the South Korean phone maker has reportedly been working on a new model of the Galaxy M30 and its model number might be SM-M307F. And now, the phone with the same model number popped up on Geekbench with Android 9.0 Pie, Exynos 9610 SoC, and 4GB RAM. It should be the Galaxy M30s and it also comes with a more powerful processor compared to the Exynos 7904 on the Galaxy M30.
The Samsung SM-M307F phone achieved scores of 1,680 and 5,211 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. Other than that, the phone is also rumored to pack better cameras on both the front and back. It will also likely come in two variants with 64GB storage and 128GB storage.
That is all we know about the upcoming phone. However, since it is the successor to the Galaxy M30, we assume that it should sport a least a dual camera setup, a USB-C port, and a beefy 5,000 mAh battery. Finally, it is seen to run Android 9.0 Pie so there is a good chance that it will ship with the company’s OneUI 1.1 out of the box.
